Oppo Reno 8 Pro global variant arrives on FCC, launch imminent

Last month, Oppo unveiled the Reno 8 series in China. The series includes three devices: Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+ Now, the company is preparing to introduce the lineup in the global market, probably on July 21. In the meantime, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro global variant has made an appearance on the FCC certification website, shedding light on some key details.

Reportedly, the Reno 8 Pro+ from China will launch as Reno 8 Pro globally. On the FCC certification website, the device bears the model number CPH2357. Further, the listing confirms the battery capacity, charging capabilities, operating system, and some other details.

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro will pack a 2250 mAh dual-cell battery, making it a total of 4,500 mAh. This unit will support 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. On the software front, the device will offer Android 12 out of the ox tossed with a layer of ColorOS 12.1 on top. In addition to this, the portal reveals that the phone will measure 161.2 x 74.2 x 7.34 mm in dimensions and weighs 183 grams.

The other details divulged by the FCC website include the support for 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, and NFC. Also, the document states that the handset will not be available in the US market. Even if it arrives in the country, the 5G NR band n77 and n78 bands will be disabled.

To recall, the Reno 8 Pro was also spotted on Geekbench a few weeks ago. The benchmarking website confirmed the presence of MediaTek Dimensity 8100 (or 8100 Max) chipset under the hood.
