The Oppo Reno 8 Pro is gearing up to receive its first major software update. The smartphone comes pre-installed with ColorOS 12 based on Android 12. Now, the company is releasing the Android 13-based ColorOS 13 Beta update for the device. To recall, the Pro+ model is already under beta testing.
Initially, the company is recruiting 5000 users in the first batch. Therefore, interested users should apply as soon as possible. Before that, make sure that your Reno 8 Pro is updated to the required A.13. Thereafter, follow the below steps.
The company will review the entry and after application success, the build will hit your device within 3 working days. In case the application quota is already full, please wait for the next round. Also, the selected users are expected to report the bugs in the ColorOS community or contact the customer service center directly.
As this is a beta version, the package will not be as smooth as a stable build. In fact, it may carry a lot of bugs and some third-party apps might not work as well. Also, the OS may lead to your device heating, lagging, and fast battery draining. Therefore, we do not recommend you flash it on your primary phone. Lastly, do not forget to take a backup of your data before testing the beta version.
