Last month, Oppo unveiled the Reno 8 series in China. The lineup includes three models: Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 Pro+. Now, the company is gearing up to launch smartphones in the global market. Ahead of any official announcement, the vanilla Reno 8 has arrived on multiple certification websites, hinting at an approaching launch. The portals also shed light on some of its key specifications.
The Oppo Reno 8 is anticipated to make its debut in India later this month. Meanwhile, the device has bagged certifications from NBTC, BIS, EEC, GCF, FCC, and TKDN. All of these websites reveal some key details about the global variant of Oppo Reno 8 5G.
As revealed by the NBTC database, the phone will bear the model number CPH2359. In addition, the FCC portal confirms the presence of a dual-cell battery with a combined capacity of 4,500 mAh. That means each unit will render a 2,250 mAh power. In addition to this, the FCC listing also mentions that the vanilla Oppo Reno 8 5G will come pre-installed with Android 12 along with a layer of ColorOS 12.1 on top.
Moreover, the device with the same model number has cleared the EEC, TKDN, GCF, and BIS certifications as well. Unfortunately, these websites do not reveal any major specifications of the Oppo Reno 8 5G global variant. Anyway, here’s a brief look at the Chinese model of the device.
In China, the Reno 8 5G features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Underneath, it equips Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. The other key features include a 50MP triple rear camera, a 32MP front sensor, a 4,500 mAh battery, and more.
