Last week, Oppo shared a roadmap for seeding out ColorOS 11, where Oppo A52, Oppo Find X2, and X2 Pro with several devices had already received the update. Sticking to the plan, the Chinese giant has arrived for Oppo Reno2. The smartphone is finally acquiring the Android 11 based ColorOS 11 Beta software update.
The update brings the beta build, it is not stable and isn’t advised for regular users. Simultaneously, the professionals and those who still wish to try the update have to enrol themselves in the Beta program. The registration commences from today, after which the company will review your application within a week. If the entry remains successful, you will receive the update soon.
Before registration, make sure that your device is updated to the desired version of C.45. For enrollment, follow the below guide by heading to the Settings > Software Update > Click the settings icon on the screen > Apply for Beta Version > Update Beta Version. Just in case if the application quota is full, you have to wait for the next round.
Before applying for the latest beta software, there are some key points which the company wants us to be aware of:
1. Please backup important data on the phone before updating to avoid the data loss caused by incompatibility or other unforeseen circumstances.
2. After updating to the latest Beta version, the operating system will do several actions to optimize your device automatically. It might lead to your device heating, lagging and fast battery draining. We recommend you to turn off the screen and charge your device for a whole night after it’s updated success. Or keep using the device, and it will become normal within a few days.
3. Some third-party applications are not compatible with Android 11. Therefore, after updating, these applications might not be available or have technical issues, including lagging and crashing down in your device. Please try to update this application to the latest version in App Market.
The early Beta access program for Oppo Reno2 is live in India & Malaysia and is expected to reach out to other regions soon. As always, the beta version is for limited users and will be released on a batch-by-batch basis.
