A few months back, OPPO took the wrap off the OPPO Reno8 series in China. The OPPO Reno8 Pro + smartphone comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chipset and runs on ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 out of the box. OPPO had revealed the list of smartphones & timeline of ColorOS 13 beta updates. As promised, OPPO has announced the availability of ColorOS 13 closed beta for the OPPO Reno8 Pro + smartphone in China. The ColorOS 13 beta update for the smartphone is based on Android 13.
OPPO will start pushing the update once it has verified the details of the testers. The users running on the A.18 or A.19 software build are eligible to apply for the closed beta. Before signing up for the process, make sure to check out the known issues of ColorOS 13 beta;
- The performance of the front camera will be abnormal in dark environment.
- The music card in the control centre will not work.

Interested users can head to Settings and open the About This Device menu. From here, tap on the Version Information menu and choose the menu icon seen in the top right corner. Now, open the Early adopter application & choose the upgrade internal beta option. You can continue following the on-screen instructions to apply.
OPPO wants people who wish to be part of ColorOS for the growth of its testers. A prior experience in flashing & testing software would be a plus. The tester should have the patience to participate in the programme and be willing to accept the test software’s instability and incompatibility.
