[Update: February 2021 Security Patch] Oppo F9 Update Tracker
Oppo F9 was landed long back in 2018 by featuring a 6.3-inch display with 1080 x 2340 pixels of resolution. It is powered by Octa-core Processor-based Mediatek Helio P60 (12 nm) Chipset. The device packs a 16-MP + 2-MP dual rear camera and a 25-MP single front-facing camera.

[February 06, 2021]: Oppo has begun cultivating the February 2021 Security patch update to the Oppo F9 smartphone. Identified by the Firmware version CPH1823EX_11_F.17 or CPH1881EX_11_F.17 is rolling out only with the new Security patch and some general bugs & improvements to system stability. Apart from these, the update doesn’t feature anything new.
[September 30, 2020]: The September 2020 Security patch update for the Oppo F9 users is coming on the CPH1823EX_11_F.14/ CPH1881EX_11_F.14 build numbers. Talking about the changelog, besides the Security patch, Oppo hasn’t added any new features. So, this update is only meant to increase the Security patch level and to enhance the smartphone’s stability.
[July 3, 2020]: On this day, the Oppo F9 smartphones have started picking the June 2020 Security patch update. The update is arriving on the CPH1823EX_F.10 Firmware version and it weighs 337 MB in size. Apart from the Security patch, the company has not added any new features. So, the Security patch might also include bug fixes for known issues and a few optimizations. Click here to know more details about this update.
In terms of availability, as the company is pushing the updates in phases, it may take a few days to reach all the units. However, you can navigate to Settings>Software updates>Check for updates to check the update manually. We also suggest you switch over to a WiFi network to avoid carrier data charges.
