Oppo F15 and Reno2 F are receiving the April 2021 security patch update. These are among a few of the devices that are receiving the April security 2021 patch. Other flagships of Oppo are not eligible to receive the latest security patches.

The new security patch improves performance and fixes vulnerabilities of the devices. It also stabilizes the system for the users to have a better experience. The update fixes the Slo-mo mode and panoramic photo thumbnail issue in Reno2 F. And in F15 it improves the photo effects. It brings features like customizable AOD (Always on display), dark in three different styles, notification history, et cetera.
It comes with firmware version CPH2001_11_F.11 and CPH1989_11_F.12 for Oppo F15 and Reno2 F respectively. The smartphones run on ColorOS 11.1 and bringing the April 2021 security patch with it is out of the box. Not many smartphones have received the latest security patch.
Recently, Oppo rolled out the March 2021 security patch to some of its flagships. But only these two devices are on the list of eligible devices to receive the April security patch.
The new update is now rolling out in Asia and will soon reach other regions as well. You can wait for the update to arrive automatically on your device. Alternately, you can go to your device’s Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
