Oppo has officially launched a new entrant to its A-series of smartphones namely, Oppo A9 in the Chinese market. The device will go on sale starting April 30 and will be available in three different color variants – Mica Green, Ice Jade White and Fluorite Purple.
Oppo A9 packs a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with teardrop notch design offering 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is expected to be powered by Helio P70 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. In the camera segment, Oppo A9 flaunts dual rear cameras (16MP+2MP) and houses a 16MP AI front camera for selfies.
The smartphone comes pre-loaded with GameBoost 2.0, and runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Color OS 6 skin on the top. Other specifications include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a decent 4,020 mAh battery. However, there is no indication whether the device supports fast charging. Connectivity options include dual SIM with Dual standby, VoLTE, WiFi, GPS, A-GPS with GLONASS and a micro-USB port. The smartphone is priced at CNY1,799 in China that roughly translates to $267/INR 18,735.
