The BBK-owned OnePlus has started seeding out the OxygenOS 11.0.7.9 (IN & NA) and 11.0.7.10 (EU) update for the OnePlus 8T smartphone. The update is rolling out as firmware version (11.0.7.9.KB05DA) for Indian users, 11.0.7.10.KB05BA for European users, and the 11.0.7.9.KB05AA for the South Africa users.
As stated by the changelog, it adds the January 2021 Security patch update, brings fixes for known/reported issues, and also features a few optimizations. The update optimizes the experience of using long screenshots and the UI display effect of the notification bar.
Talking about the fixes, the update fixes the small probability issue that Twitter may freeze, opening app split-screen may fail issue, failure to switch the accent color in a small probability issue, the inaccurate display of the attribution of some numbers, the issue that the video cannot be played in a small probability, noise issue of 5G calls, and other more known issues. Apart from these, it also increases the stability of the smartphone.
The company is sending the updates in batches. So, you may need to wait for a week to experience the update. You can also check the update status manually by heading over to Settings>Software updates ad check for the updates. We also suggest you to maintain at least 60% of charging before updating to avoid interrupts.
