The OnePlus Nord 2 was the first smartphone by OnePlus to feature a MediaTek chipset in the Indian market. It was a successor to the first mid-range OnePlus device, i.e., Nord, launched in 2020. Recently, OnePlus pushed the stable OxygenOS 12 (Android 12) update to the Open Beta users. It was a massive update with many new features and bug fixes. The update is in a staged rollout and will take some more time to reach all the Nord 2 units. So, OnePlus has rolled out an incremental update to the OnePlus Nord 2 users over the OxygenOS 11 A.20 update. It included the April 2022 Security patch along with some bug fixes. Now, OnePlus has started rolling the A21 update to the Nord 2 smartphone. It is live in the Indian and European markets.

The update comes with the build number DN2101_11_A.21 for the Indian units. While in Europe, it comes with firmware version number DN2103_11_A.21. It is rolling out via Over the Air and will be live to all users in the following days.
The update does not bring any major changes. However, it does increase privacy by integrating the June 2022 security patch. These minor modifications are also necessary for the device to keep the user experience up to date.
