According to the OnePlus update policy, the Nord series is eligible to receive only two major Android updates. However, the company never disappoints to deliver frequent updates to the lineup. On that note, the OnePlus Nord 2 5G is receiving a new update to ensure a seamless and safe user experience.
The information was revealed by the OnePlus community forum, according to which the new package is rolling out in Indian markets. The Nord 2 5G variants in the country are upgrading with the DN2101_11_A.20 firmware version. In addition, the post mentions that the same package will roll out to the global and European users soon as well.
As far as changes are concerned, the build does not pack any significant changes or new additions. However, minor updates are also essential to ensure a polished and smooth user experience. This time, the package resolves the occasional issue of the abnormal screen display when using Facebook video calls. Moreover, the Android security patch level is bumped to April 2022.
As usual, the OTA update is having an incremental rollout. Accordingly, it will hit a limited number of users initially, while a border rollout will begin in a few days. In the meantime, you can also track the update manually. To do so, navigate to the Software update section under the Settings app.
