OnePlus launched the cheaper version of its OnePlus 8 series, OnePlus 8T last year with pre-installed Android 11. Where OxygenOS 11 already reached India and several other regions. Presently, the company has announced a new software update for the smartphone accompanied by the June 2021 security patch.
The latest software gives a bump in the OxygenOS level for the OnePlus 8T units in India, Europe, and North America. The Indian and European variants of the device are receiving OxygenOS 11.0.8.14. It bears the firmware version 11.0.8.14.KB05DA and 11.0.8.14.KB05BA respectively. Whereas, the device in NA is getting OxygenOS 11.0.8.13 on version number 11.0.8.13.KB05AA.
Apart from the current security maintenance, the build optimizes the smartphone’s performance of a seamless experience. Moreover, it addresses an issue in the camera app where the shooting button fails while taking pictures in at 48M picture format.
The latest OxygenOS for OnePlus 8T is now actively rolling out in batches for IN, EU, and NA variants. It will make way to more regions soon. The build is hitting the units in a staged manner to a limited number of users today. It will steadily make way for all users after making sure there are no critical bugs. To manually check for the update, the users need to navigate to their device’s Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install.
