OnePlus is gearing up to unveil their next flagship at an event in New York. On the other hand, the company has been teasing some of the features of this upcoming smartphone. Now, the CEO Pete Lau hints the pricing of the OnePlus 5T while replying to a fan on Weibo – China’s popular social media site.
Recently, a fan on Weibo asked the CEO of OnePlus that whether 4,000 yuan is enough to buy the OnePlus 5T. On this, Pete Lau implied that it is “Enough” to buy their upcoming smartphone. To be clear, 4,000 yuan translates to $603 / €520 / Rs.38,993 . This might be possible as OnePlus is known to hike the price of their new smartphones by $50 – $70. To recall, OnePlus 5 was launched at $479 / €499 for the 6GB RAM variant and $539 / €559 for the 8GB RAM variant.
OnePlus started their race in the smartphone market as a startup offering a flagship device at half a price. As the first tier OEM’s flagships now cost around ~$900, it is fact that they might increase the price. But, still they are approximately half the price of other major flagships. And positively, OnePlus offers better battery performance in terms of both usage and charging than any other devices out there.
