OnePlus 5, one of the most anticipated phones of 2017, seems to be landing sooner than anticipated. While we still don’t know an exact launch date, the smartphone has finally been confirmed to be under development by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau. The company’s CEO teased a “big surprise” on Weibo.
While OnePlus 3 was announced in June last year and OnePlus 2 in July 2015, we should expect the phone to launch in a month or two. The company is expected to skip the number 4 as it is considered unlucky in China.
Unfortunately, there’s not much we can tell from the picture posted by company’s CEO. However, recent rumors have indicated that the device will sport a 5.5-inch 2K display, Snapdragon 835 chip, 3,000 mAh battery, and 6GB/8GB of RAM.
Earlier this week, we came across alleged sample pictures that were clicked using OnePlus 5 rear camera. While we are not far away from smartphone’s official release, stay connected with GoAndroid for any further updates and information.
