OnePlus has just rolled out the OxygenOS 5.1.11 update for the latest OnePlus 6 handset, however, the latest security patch is still missing. Today we’ve got some new details from OnePlus and it simply is a good news for all OnePlus 5/5T users. Oneplus has just released the latest software update for the two devices which brings some small improvements in the device’s performance. So without making any delay let’s know more about it.
Surprisingly OnePlus 5 and 5T have become the first OnePlus devices to receive the fresh August security patch. Yes, you’ve heard it right the devices have received this update even before the latest flagship OnePlus 6. The software is arriving as Oxygen OS 5.1.5 through the traditional OTA method. The update also brings some lock screen improvements for the device which we have already witnessed on the OnePlus 6.
After installing the new update a user can unlock his/her OnePlus 5/5T by just typing the pin, so in all OnePlus has eliminated the “tick” icon from there. No other changes have been mentioned at OnePlus forums though users can expect some under the hood performance and battery tweaks. The update is currently in rollout phase so you all may receive it in a day or two. For more Android updates stay tuned to GoAndroid.
