Google is rolling out a new feature in its YouTube App i.e. Double Tap to Rewind or Fast Forward the video. YouTube App 10.11.11546 gets the Double Tap Feature, the information is shared by some reddit users. Although there is not any official confirmation yet.
Coming back to the YouTube Double Tap Feature, You have to be on Full screen Mode to use this feature. When you are on Full-screen Mode you can double tap the screen on left or right side to rewind or fast forward the video by 10 seconds. However, If you are on iOS, updating should also bring along the convenient new lockscreen controls for casting playback. Unfortunately, this feature is not available on Android yet.
Many users says that it slows downs the transition when we touch the full-screen toggle on the screen. But we think this YouTube Double tap feature will help users.
