Nokia’s India success can lead to the worldwide success

Nokia is coming back to India again with the new phones, Nokia 3310 – a feature phone. Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 3 are the smartphones that Nokia is going to debut with the HMD global.

Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product officer, HMD Global has quoted that if they get success in India, then they are confident to make new devices a success worldwide. Further he clarified, India will act as a proof of concept for the company.

Already, Nokia 3310 is available for pre-orders in the UK and will be made available to users by the end of this month. Already we have got news that Nokia 3310 has exceeded pre-orders in UK. Additionally, it packs a 1000mAh removable battery. It has 22 hours of talk time, 10 times more than what the original had says Nokia CEO. There’s no WiFI, no GPS but still users have craze to own it. He quoted, they are also looking at other markets such as China, and if “we can win the hearts and minds of the Indian consumers with our story, then I have no concerns about our global story.”

Next is the Nokia 5, which was annocuned at MWC 2017 with the price of t €189 (₹13000, $200). It packs a 5.2-inch, 720p display,The phone is powered by 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 430 Processor and Adreno 505 GPU. Further, it runs with 2GB of RAM and have 16GB of internal Storage. This is a mid level device and can cater to audience in INdia which are looking for the device with moderate specs.

Nokia 6, it is the high end device with 4GB of RAM. It features a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved display with a Full HD resolution. Under the hood, a Snapdragon 430 chipset can be found with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, microSD support, and a 16MP rear-facing camera. The 16MP rear camera carries an f/2.0 aperture and PDAF laser auto focusing.

It is already available in some markets, its rollout in India is expected soon. It would be available for near about Rs. 20000.
