It hasn’t been so long when rear dual-camera become an unevitable part of smartphones. Later or just couple of months ago to be precise, certain OEM’s took the dual-cam in front of the device as well. Literally, all that happened within a short span of time. And, if the latest rumor is to be given importance, Nokia will be launching a smartphone with five! rear-camera lenses later this year.
The new rumor was first fired from Baidu. Literally stating that a Nokia 2018 flagship Android smartphone will be featuring a penta-lens camera. Also, the purported device is expected to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform.
In fact, this isn’t the first time Nokia incorporating a massive camera in one of its smartphone. Recall that the Window’s Lumia 1020 and long-lost Symbian powered Nokia 808 featured Pure-View camera of beyond 40MP in resolution. Similarly, the rear camera on Nokia’s new flagship phone may feature a circular camera design. Alike the Lumia 1020 and Nokia 808 camera bump.
Though, exact or just the ETA of the rumored device is unknown, it’s expected to be unveiled at IFA 2018 set to happen in Berlin, Germany later this year.
Seems like, smartphone camera technology is advancing as fast as semi-conductor industry. Or else, a new Moore’s Law is being coined in camera department. Vaguely stating, no.of lenses used in a smartphone camera module is being increased each year. Quite interesting, isn’t it? Pen-down your valuable views in the comment section below.
