HMD Global aka Nokia has begun to take beta testers for Android 9.0 Pie. Nokia will soon start testing the Android 9.0 Pie beta on Nokia 7.1 Plus/Nokia X7. It was launched last month with the name of Nokia X7 in China and the global market as Nokia 7.1 Plus. Today, Nokia took to Weibo to announce the regarding the beta testing plans for Nokia 7.1 Plus.
Users who are interested can head over to the source link and can enjoy the latest and greatest Android version. Initially, there will be several bugs, and the whole ROM will be stable, then after some time bugs and issues will be rectified. In the end, the rectified and filtered version of the ROM will be made available to the end users.
Users who have never unlocked or rooted their devices can participate in beta testing. Also, if you have opted for beta ROM, make sure to back up your data, as it might cause some data loss.
It is a closed beta and comes with a confidentiality agreement. Later, Nokia will make its wider testing availabel to more users in a public beta. Currently, the beta update is applicable for Nokia X7 (China) only. So, we hope this would be extended in the future for global version also.
