HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas, has recently confirmed on Twitter that Nokia 8110 4G will soon get access to popular social media apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and more. Nokia’s ‘Banana Phone’ is now 4G compatible and runs on KaiOS. The KaiOS has been recently updated to run social media apps on the smart feature phone.
In terms of specs, Nokia 8110 4G features a 2.4-inch display with a display resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 SoC paired with 512MB of RAM And 4GB of internal storage. Which is expandable up to 64GB via a micro SD card. The smart feature phone bears a 2MP primary camera with LED flash and houses a powerful 1,500mAh. According to the company, the smart feature phone offers a battery standby time of 25 days on a single full charge. The handset was lately introduced in Europe with a price tag of €90. It will be available in Yellow and Black color variants.
For quite sometime, Google has been actively investing in KaiOS to bring the best and most popular apps to smart feature phones like JioPhone 2 and Nokia 8110 4G. Both of these handsets are expected to bring a major transformation to the traditional feature phones market.
