A new firmware update is being rolled-out to Nokia 8 in some European markets. The OTA update bears version number 4.390 and weighs in at 330.7MB in size. Since, it’s a maintenance release mainly focused on bugs fixes and improvements over the Android Oreo OS, no new notable features are bundled. At least, that’s what the changelog below has to say.
Here, the changelog has also mentioned a new security patch dated December. But, it’s not to be forgot that the Nokia flagship had already received this month’s SMR dated as 1st December in previous update. Hence, there is a likely chance that this time, the update might have boarded the very latest 5th December patch.
Apart from the new patch, users can feel improved system stability and user interface enhancements. A user have reported that the Camera app seems to be opening quicker after this update. Similarly, there ought to be other improvements that you can unearth as you play around with the update.
Haven’t received the latest update notification on your Nokia 8. Don’t worry, as it’d take a while to be available on every unit. However, you can manually trigger the update by going to Settings, System updates section and then by checking for the update.
