HMD Global, the startup behind Nokia branded Android smartphones first announced the entry level Nokia 2 in India last November. As of now, this cheapest offering from Nokia is limited to certain regions such as India, US, Russia, South Africa and UAE. But now, the phone makes its way to Germany as well as the UK.
The Nokia 2 is already up for sale in Germany. It is priced at EUR 119 and can be purchased from online retailer Amazon. As for UK, the Nokia 2 can be pre ordered from Amazon and it is priced at £99.99. The phone will be available from February 14.
Nokia 2 is an entry level smartphone from the Finnish smartphone maker. Also, it is the cheapest of all the Nokia Android smartphones. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
At the front, the phone sports a 5 inch HD display with Gorilla Glass protection. The frame of the device is made up of 600 series Aluminium but it has a body of polycarbonate. As for optics, it features a 8 MP primary snapper and 5 MP secondary shooter. Finally, the phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and is backed by a massive 4,100 mAh battery.
The Nokia 2 is expected to get Android Oreo in form of Android Go Oreo Edition.
