Nokia 2.2 grabs the Android 11 update

Nokia seems to have fastened its update train. Recently, HMD Global send an Android 11 update to Nokia 2.3, and now it’s turning for predecessor, Nokia 2.2. The phone was packed in mid-2019 with Android 9 Pie and later got updated to Android 10.

The unfurling of new software has been announced by a company official in an authentic Nokia community post. According to the post, the Android 11 update for Nokia 2.2 will roll out in waves.

The first wave covers 24 countries and it does not include India. Maybe the new operating system will hit India and other nations in the second wave. Look if your region is getting the fresh firmware from the list below.

The official reports state that the update will roll out at specified times. About 10% of markets will instantly receive the update, 50% by the 15th of April, and the rest will get the build by April 17th.

Nokia 2.2 specifications

The smartphone features a 5.71-inch HD+ display with an Always-on-display feature. It powers a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 chipset coupled with up to 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 400GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. The phone packs Android 9.0 (Pie) which is upgradable to Android 11 based Android One branding. Nokia 2.2 holds a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front snapper.
