Nokia 1 starts getting May Security patch

HMD global starts rolling out Android security patch for the month of May 2018 on Nokia 1. It is an entry level Android GO phone which was launched in February 2018. Coming back to the update, Nokia 1 starts getting May security update in India with model no. TA-1066.

The update weighs about 108 MB in size. It packs with improvements in system stability and security patch. May Security patch includes 23 fixes for media framework and possibly permitting a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code through a “crafted file.”. Moreover, HMD global has updated there Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 to May security patch.

As this is an OTA update so it may take some time to reach you. So don’t panic if the update notification is not popped up on your phone’s display. You can also check it manually by going through the settings>>about phone>>software updates. Moreover, Company has also stated that make sure you’re on Wifi while downloading the update.
