Google has pulled up the curtains from the much awaited devices of this year, Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Today, after long spree of the rumors and leaked reports, Google shutdown the rumors mill by unveiling Nexus 6 officially.
Nexus 6 is a phablet device with a large 5.9-inch panel that is sure to look properly massive in hand, but this is a Quad HD display so it will also be stunning. The battery is of 3220 mAh which seems to be quite normal for these type of large devices. On the front side there’s an 13MP rear-facing with optical image stabilization along with 2MP front-facing camera. There’s a 2.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Quad Core 2.7 GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. The Graphical Processing unit, Adreno 420 is there to boost the graphical performance. Also it will be available in 32 GB and 64 GB device sizes.
Google and HTC have finally announced the new Nexus 9 tablet. It is a 8.9 inch tablet with a Nvidia Tegra K1 chip along with a 16 and 32 GB variant along with a LTE based 32 Gb variant, along with 2 GB RAM in all units. It comes in black, tan, or white, in case you need to get freaky,BoomSound front speakers, and a 64-bit processor. You have a 6,700mAh battery inside, 8MP rear camera, and Android 5.0 “Lollipop.”
The Nexus 9 will be up for pre-order on October 17, starting at $399 for the 16GB WiFi model. There will also be 32GB WiFi and LTE models at $479 and $599, respectively.
The final thing is the Nexus Player. Google partnered with Asus for the first device. Called, Nexus Player, the set top box is reminiscent of the Fire TV and runs Android TV with the help of a quad-core 1.8GHz Intel Atom processor with PowerVR Series 6 graphics, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage.
