A couple of days ago, Redmi has teased its upcoming budget flagship device, the Redmi K20. The teaser, as you might’ve seen gives us a glimpse of the backside which was enough to showcase the triple camera setup of the device. Now, a new render based on the same teaser is out giving us a better, closer look at the back design of the K20.
The new leaked render is courtesy to the My Smart Price. In fact, there is nothing much new in the render other than that we’ve seen in the official teaser. There do exist triple camera setup comprising of a 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor capable of taking 960fps slow-mo video. As an icing on the cake, 4K recording at 60fps is in tow too. Obviously, bolstering the K20 is the mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 855.
Based on recent speculations and rumours, the Redmi K20 is expected to have a large 6.39-inch AMOLED display and powered by a 4,000 mAh battery. Speaking of the front-facing camera, it’s expected to be a 20MP shooter compared to the 48MP main sensor which resides in the rear.
Headphone Jack and Hi-Res audio Confirmed!
As you know, the 3.5mm jack is a rarity nowadays in flagships. Well, its existence might not be a thing to be highlighted in the past, but now it’s a deal breaker for some. As happy news for the audiophiles fond of 3.5mm jack, the Redmi K20 is confirmed to come with the jack and other audio enhancements.
Lu Weibing, Vice President of the Xiaomi Group and General Manager of Redmi brand has taken himself to the Weibo handle to announce the existence of 3.5mm jack on the Redmi K20. He says that the company decided to retain the 3.5mm audio jack as enthusiasts like it. Moreover, coupled with the Mi Sound amp sound effects users can experience high-quality sound output certified by Hi-Res process.
That being said, it seems the Redmi K20 is a complete package with a reasonable price tag. The price of the device will be officially out when the device launches in China on May 28.
