New Google Pixel 2 renders show the phone with big bezels and stereo speakers

Well, this is a shocker! The rumors regarding the Google Pixel 2 brothers have taken a U-turn. Past renders have given the tech world an impression that the new Pixel phones will have thin bezels. But things seem to be opposite now. This new render from Evan Blass shows a complete opposite picture.

Although a bit blurry, we don’t need microscopes to deduce that the bezels on the top and bottom are obscenely large. They would be an abomination to the bezel less lover. We would say Google has some guts to go the unconventional way defying trends. But the display is not the only thing.

Even the single sensor rear camera is opposite of what is getting more and more of an industry standard. But as if this wasn’t enough. The next thing is outrageous. VentureBeat also confirmed that the Pixel XL 2/Pixel 2 series will do away with the headphone jack for good.

All is not gloom and doom though and at least there is one thing to be upbeat about. Google at least thinks of putting that bezel to good use. We see two large grills on the top and bottom that signal the return of the Boom Speakers that we miss so much. Also, you’ll be able to “squeeze” out the Pixel to get some actions done similar to HTC U 11.

All the new changes that have come to light are definitely going to make a tectonic shift in consumer interest overnight. And these designs might very well be the final thing before Google launches the flagships in October.
