New Google Cardboard on its Way with New features

Google Cardboard’s newer version is coming soon to our way. New Google Cardboard has used various new technologies to build the upcoming virtual reality headset.

In newer version Google has attached it to Android operating system, which will be challenging for Facebook’s Oculus for an early lead in Silicon Valley’s latest platform war. As per report, Google’s new VR product will feature “better sensors, lenses and a more solid plastic casing.” Like Cardboard and Gear VR, the new headset will rely on a smartphone for its display and “most of its processing power.”

Clay Bavor, full-time head of Cardboard and related products said, “VR is too important and too powerful a medium to be accessible to only a few.” The creation of a mobile VR headset that works with more than just Oculus software and Samsung phones will mark the opening of a new front in Google’s wide-ranging rivalry with Facebook.

Well, all this new Google Cardboard will directly compete against Facebook’s Oculus Rift, HTC’s Vive Pro, Sony’s workstation VR.
