Motorola has been back in the game lately with some surprising launches, whether it be their flagship device Moto Edge+ or budget-focused Motorola One Fusion Plus. Motorola has now launched the cheapest 5G smartphone with base variant priced at £349 (approx. INR 29,000) that goes up to £399 (approx. INR 33,700) in the UK and Europe. Reports suggest that the device will be a trimmed down version of Motorola Edge+ which did not perform well due to its steep pricing.
Moto G 5G is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC and comes in two variants, 4GB + 64GB as the base model and 6GB + 128GB as the high-end model. Obviously, the internal storage is expandable up to 1TB using micro SD card slot. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz ultra-smooth display with punch-hole design.
Moto G 5G flaunts a quad camera set up at the rear that includes a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro camera, alongside 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone comes with a 16MP selfie camera with quad pixel technology that lets you click ultra-wide-angle selfies.
The smartphone draws its power from a sizable 5,000mAh battery and supports 20W USB-C TurboPower fast-charging that can last up to 2 days with moderate usage. It is worth mentioning that Moto G 5G still holds on to the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
In an official statement Motorola said“Moto G 5G plus is built for both 4G and 5G networks, so you’re ready for anything. Get more bandwidth, lower latency, and reduced lag time so you never miss a thing. Feel the fast response time in everything you do, from browsing the web to watching a video with the 5G-optimized Qualcomm® Snapdragon 765 processor.”
While there is no official news about Motorola releasing their budget-friendly 5G device in India, we are anticipating that the device will soon be launched in India.
