Last year in December, Motorola shared a list of smartphones that are eligible to get the Android 12 update. Although, compared to other OEMs, the company is slower to deliver updates. Anyway, the Lenovo-owned firm is sending the latest operating system to a couple of devices— Motorola Edge (2021) and Edge+.

Talking about the Motorola Edge (2021), the update is specifically rolling out for the devices with model number XT21411-2-SS. The Android 12 goodies are packed with firmware version S1RM32.48-18-11 which weighs over 1GB to download. As of now, the package is limited to the USA, while more regions will get the build in the upcoming weeks.
Heading to the Edge+, the new operating system is a part of firmware version S1PB32.41.10-17 which weighs approximately 1.5GB in size. The software is available for the phones with model number XT2061-3-SS in the European market.
As far as changes are concerned, needless to say, the users in their respective regions will get all the Android 12 features. This includes Material You design, Privacy Dashboard, redesigned notification panel, gaming improvements, and much more. In addition, the version for the Motorola Edge (2021) will also include the March 2022 security patch.
As usual, the build is spinning out in batches and will hit the respective smartphones in selected regions as an OTA. Therefore, it may take a while to have a border rollout. In the meantime, you can trigger the update manually via the Settings > System > Advanced > System Updates.
