Moto X 2014 Pure Edition Receiving Android 5.1 In the U.S

Motorola is rolling out Android 5.1 with its 14000 bug fixes to Moto X 2014 Pure Edition in the U.S. As reported earlier, Motorola has provided Android 5.1 to both generations of the device.

Today, Motorola’s David Schuster said, “I am happy to announce that we have been approved to start full deployment of the Android 5.1 Lollipop upgrade for Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition in the US.” This is really rocking new for the owners of the Moto X 2014. Motorola ran into an issue before going for Android 5.1 update to the device but today’s announcement have brought smile on the owner’s faces.

The Moto X (2nd gen) was previously running on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

In addition to bug fixes for various problems users are currently experiencing with the phone, owners will be treated to various performance enhancements.

Now, you can head over to your settings and then about section to check for the update. It weigh 444 MB, so, we suggest you to clock to WiFi network for update.
