Motorola has been launching many 5G devices across the globe. The budget G and premium Edge series have a total of 4 5G smartphones. In 2021 alone, Moto launched three new devices in the G series. If you recall, Moto earlier launched Moto G 5G with the Snapdragon 750 5G SoC. Now, Moto is all set to unveil a budget device i.e. the Moto G50 5G in the upcoming months. Earlier, the details of the device were leaked by popular tipster OnLeaks Aka Steve Hemmerstoffer. And Evan Blass (known as @evleaks) shared the renders of the smartphone. The device is now listed on GeekBench, which reveals the key specifications of the device. Let us look into the details and the scores which the device obtained.
It comes with the codename saipan and will run on Android 11 out of the box. The device will house the MediaTek MT6833V SoC, which is popularly known as Dimensity 700. Other features which are revealed by the GeekBench listing are the presence 4GB RAM and Android 11 on board.
This confirms that the device is different from the model which was launched in Europe. It came with the codename Ibiza and features the Snapdragon 480 SoC. The new device scores 546 points in the single-core test and 1695 points in the multi-core test.
The render shows that it will feature a display with the old waterdrop notch and thick bezels seen on older phones. That said, it will feature a 6.5-inch display and with an HD+ (1600×720 pixels) resolution. The triple rear camera unit will have a primary 48MP sensor. Other details about the rear camera sensors aren’t available at the moment.
On the front, the waterdrop notch will house the 13MP sensor. The chipset will pair with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The power button will act as a fingerprint sensor, and it will have a 3.5mm headphone jack and NFC. However, there are no details about the battery or the charging tech.
