Microsoft Remote Desktop App For Android Launched

Microsoft has launched something special this time along with Windows 8.1 update. Microsoft has launched new Android app know as Remote Desktop which allows you to remotely access you’re network connected device.

Now, users can navigate a Windows machine via a smartphone or tablet with the help of the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). You can download its app for iOS and Android from their respected stores. Microsoft Remote Desktop App features:

  • Access to remote resources through your Remote Desktop Gateway
  • Rich multi-touch experience with remote desktop protocol (RDP) and RemoteFX supporting Windows gestures
  • Secure connection to your data and applications with breakthrough Network Layer Authentication (NLA) technology
  • Simple management of all remote connections from the connection center
  • High quality video and sound streaming with improved compression and bandwidth usage

The app is compatible with iOS 6 and iOS 7 devices and on Android you need to have its version 2.2 (Froyo).
