Meizu has just announced its super-premium handsets named as Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus in the market. This time surprisingly instead of Samsung’s Exynos chipset the company went with a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 solution. The following devices pack every possible thing which counts when compared to other flagships. As per a recent Geekbench listing, one of their small siblings is on the way. It will not gonna be as powerful as the existing ones are but it seems to be an interesting device. So let’s check out more about it.
As visible in the above image, the device carries a display with minimal bezels and is expected to be called as the Meizu 16X. As revealed in the recent listing it will come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Octa-Core processor coupled with mammoth 6GB of RAM. These specs will make it a direct competitor of the Xiaomi Mi8 SE, Vivo’s Nex A handsets. The device has a small display notch which will house a selfie camera, earpiece, and some essential sensors.
Snapdragon 710 in itself is a great achievement for Qualcomm. It is the only chipset that has the potential for a flagship SoC on a budget. The one found in Meizu 16X will come with a clock speed of 1.71Ghz paired with an Adreno 616 GPU. In case you guys don’t know after the Meizu 16-series announcement the CEO(Jack Wong) himself has confirmed that a forthcoming device in 16-series is in the pipeline.
