If you’re closely following the development happening in Magisk, you should’ve known the previous version, Magisk 19.0 brought Android Q beta 1 root support. Now, the popular rooting agent on Android is being updated to a new version – the Magisk 19.1 which notably lets us to root the latest Android Q beta 2 builds.

The highlight of the update is obviously the support for Android Q beta 2. Users of Pixel/XL and Pixel 2/XL can now root their device on Android Q DP2. It goes without saying that, getting system-less root on Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices are still an unsolved mystery.
Support for recovery-based Magisk is particularly intended for the latest Samsung Galaxy devices running the One UI update (like the Samsung Galaxy S10 and A50). Moreover, the accompanied Magisk Manager 7.1.2 facilitates easy patching of the AP component of the Samsung firmware. The dev has also said that it had improved the module download mechanism all for good.
