Lineage OS has just received a new update to the latest Android 8.1 base. It has received all the Android 8.1 tweaks along with the other customizations. It is a significant update with many new changes and is ready to rollout on the compatible devices.
In the latest update, team Lineage has removed all the unnecessary code. Team has worked on Project Treble to remove the AOSP components which are used for low end devices. It will fasten up the overall ROM and will improve the performance of the device.
Lineage has skipped Android 8.0 and the version 15.1 uses Android 8.1 Oreo. Talking about the particular features, it supports icons packs and adaptive icons. The ‘Trebuchet’ launcher also packs some new goodies and changes. The feature of adaptive icon will allow you to change the shape of icon. Even now, you can change the UI of the launcher to light or dark.
The camera app has also got some new options like QR scanner and other refinements.
