LG has unveiled the Android 13 roll-out schedule plan for the LG Velvet, but 5G support for LG Wing in India has not been confirmed yet. After announcing the shutting down of its mobile business last year, LG is slowly disappearing from the smartphone industry. Now, the company has updated its website and mentioned that the LG Velvet and a few other devices will receive new software updates in the first quarter of next year.

The LG website stated that the Android 13 software update for LG Velvet will be rolled out in the first quarter of the next year. Unfortunately, other phones such as LG Wing, LG Q61, LG Q92 5G, and LG Q52 5G will not receive the Android 13 update as they are not eligible for it. However, these models will continue to receive security patch updates.
The company committed to the roadmap for its models while shutting down its mobile business. As LG Velvet was their last flagship smartphone before shutting down, the company for providing the Android 13 OS update to this model should be praised. Android 13 will be the last major OS update for LG Velvet.
For the LG Wing users, it might disappoint you but – To get 5G support or carriers, software updates are required to make it supported with the device. Almost every mobile manufacturer has rolled out software updates to make the respective 5G devices fully compatible with the network in India. But, there is no statement from LG, which means we won’t be able to see 5G support on LG Wing.
