LG is steadily packing its mobile business but before that, the company promised major OS updates to certain flagships. Adhering to the schedule, the Korean giant is sending the Android 11 update to the LG Velvet LTE variant.
Recently, LG announced the Android 11 update for the LTE variant of LG Velvet via its Korean community forum. Needless to say, it will bring all the Android 11 goodies, for instance, UI customizations, chat bubbles, camera optimizations, native screen recorder, new quick settings actions, one-time permissions, and much more.
Moreover, there are few LG-exclusive tweaks as outlined in the release statement. As the update is live in Korea as of now, the changelog is also in the same language.
The OTA build will reach out to the LTE variant of LG Velvet in a staged manner. Alternatively, you can also navigate the update via phone’s Settings -> About Phone -> Software updates -> Check for Update, if the update pops up Click on Download and install.
LG launched the Velvet smartphone in July 2020 with a 6.8-inch P-OLED display and IP68 dust/water resistance. It powers Android 10, LG UX 9 out of the box paired with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (10 nm) chipset. The phone offers two storage variants of 128GB coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. It holds a 16MP front snapper and a triple rear camera module consisting of a 48MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP sensor to measure depth.
