Today, LG has announced LG G Pad IV 8.0 FHD LTE as the latest addition to its G Pad series. The new tablet has been exclusively launched in Korea and there is no indication whether it is going to be made available in other countries. The new LG G Pad is a lightweight, mid-range tablet and packs some decent specs considering its budget price. LG says that the tablet weighs just 290 grams which is equivalent to a soft drink can as depicted in the image below.
The LG G Pad IV 8.0 FHD LTE features an 8-inch FHD display. The tablet is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor clocked at 1.4GHz with 2GB of RAM.The device comes with 32GB of on-board storage, which is expandable up to 2TB via a microSD cad.
The tablet sports a 5-megapixel primary camera along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The new LG G Pad packs a 3,000mAh battery which seems to be a compromising factor on the lightweight tablet. The device comes with Android 7.0 Nougat and is priced at 352,000 Korean Won (approximately $307 USD). The tablet is currently available with LG Uplus, the cellular carrier owned by LG Corporation in Korea.
