LG is an electronic giant better associated with appliances than smartphones. Though they make some wonderful flagship smartphones, they are underrated because of poor marketing and a number of hardware/software issues. They have been never known for budget smartphones especially outside their home country South Korea. However, that might now change as LG India is set to launch an online-only budget smartphone with triple camera setup.
LG has been launching a number of budget smartphones in India for years but they could not even compete against Samsung‘s offerings let alone Xiaomi and other Chinese brands. Now as Samsung has revamped its strategy for the Indian market, LG is also set to do the same to remain competitive. The newly leaked renders say nothing about the upcoming budget smartphone except for its design. According to the leak source, this LG smartphone is expected to launch in India in June itself.
This forthcoming LG budget smartphone will be a part of a series which will be online exclusive similar to Samsung’s Galaxy M series. As you can see from the leaked renders, it is expected to arrive with a triple camera setup at the back which will boast a trendy gradient design. The volume rockers and power key will be located on the right side of the phone, whereas the fingerprint sensor will be present in the back. The rear of the device will also feature the LG branding at the bottom and a small red-coloured ring around one of the cameras.
There’s nothing known of the display but it will be definitely an LCD panel like any other previous LG budget smartphones. As one of the renders mention FullVision which is LG’s branding for taller displays, the panel could be of 18:9 aspect ratio without a notch or feature a notch with 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is also expected to come with AI features as it is too mentioned in the leaked render.
Though this upcoming LG India’s online-only budget smartphone stuns us with its triple camera setup and gradient design, only good pricing will make it a better option.
