LG is planning to skip the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update for some of it’s devices, and now it would directly move to the Android 4.4 KitKat version. There is no official statement about this, but this has been said by phonearena, so it might be true.
Indeed LG would also skip the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Update in case of some of it’s smartphones, and directly fetch the Kitkat update for them. The devices that have been selected for the Android 4.4 KitKat Update are LG Optimus F6, LG Optimus F3, LG G Pro Lite, LG Optimus L9II, LG Optimus F7, LG Optimus Vu II, LG G Pad 8.3, LG Vu III, and also some of the other smartphones like LG LS740 and LG-D315.
Also according to the reports, the LG Optimus 4X HD, will not be receiving the KitKat update, as it has already completed it’s updates and it would now stuck on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. So not a good news for the LG Optimus 4X HD users, and if you’re in the list above, count on LG, to fetch you some KitKat soon.
