Stock Android is now a trend as it seems from recent launches like Xiaomi A1 and others. Anyway, just after the Stock Android based K8 Note launch happened last month. Again, Lenovo is giving a try with a new K8 series. The Motorola’s owner has now officially launched a new device K8 Plus in India. Basically, Dual-Camera and Stock Android version being the main highlights of this device.
The K8 Plus flaunts a full metallic body build similar to K8 Note. Although, aesthetically being identical to the K8 Note, in terms of specifications it’s not.
The K8 Plus features a 5.2-inch Full HD display. An Oleophobic coating and Corning Gorilla Glass adds protection to the display. The device houses a MediaTek octa-core Helio P25 processor clocked at 2.6Ghz. Comes with 3Gigs of RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can be expanded upto 128GB via microSD. And, the good thing is, it has a dedicated slot for that. A 4,000mAh battery powers the device. According to Lenovo, the powerhouse is believed to provide a backup of 2 days under normal usage conditions.
Now, let us take the Camera in to consideration. The K8 Plus Boasts a dual-camera setup, comprising of 13MP and 5MP sensors. As usual, the setup helps in providing good portrait pics and enhance the low-light photography. That was about its back shooter. At the front, an 8MP cam with advanced pro mode guarantees a brilliant selfie on this device.
Moving on to the Software part – The K8 Plus, similar to the K8 Note runs Vanilla Android 7.1.1 out of the box. In addition, Lenovo has confirmed a planned upgrade to the latest Android Oreo 8.0 in near future. Thanks to the uncustomized and original Android it possess, ditching the good-old Vibe UI of Lenovo.
On paper K8 Plus offers much, catering some of the latest technologies. Then, what about its price? It should cost dear, isn’t it. But, no. The K8 Note is priced at just Rs. 10,999. Consequently, being the cheapest smartphone offering a dual-camera setup in India.
Specs seems to be great and pricing all under our limits and expectations. So, useres might have a question from where to get one. As for now, K8 Plus is Flipkart exclusive and it means you can’t grab K8 Plus anywhere offline. Hopefully, in coming months it should be available from other sources as well but for now only Flipkart is there for purchase. The K8 Plus is available for customers in Venom Black and Fine Gold to choose. Lastly, the device is on sale for the first time tomorrow, 7th August #onlyonflipkart at 12 noon.
