Lenovo has launched two new Chromebooks named as ThinkPad 11e and ThinkPad Yoga 11e under the Education category. Lenovo announced these new Chromebooks at Florida Education Technology Conference this week, these new devices from Lenovo are built for education and ruggedized for the classroom.
Well, main difference in these new Chromebooks are its convertibility which allows them to act as “laptop, tablet, tent and stand”. These slightly different Chromebooks will offer ‘slab mode. These models are packed with the Google’s Chrome OS and have 8 Hours of Battery backup. In the Lenovo ThinkPad 11ethere are some other products which are based on Windows Operating System.
“In CDW-G’s work helping K-12 customers adapt technology to support new requirements like Common Core and digital curriculum, we see many schools struggle with choosing the right device for students to carry,” said Julie Smith, vice president for K-12 education, CDW-G. “Lenovo’s new ThinkPad 11e devices will help make that decision easier as they enable students to use them in various ways and can eliminate the need to carry multiple devices.”
In this series Chromebooks are priced for $US349, and $449 for the Windows-powered machines. Currently Specs are not revealed yet.
