Just last month, Lava introduced Z50 as its first Go edition smartphone that comes with Android Oreo out of the box. The smartphone has now been introduced in India with a price tag of INR 4,400. However, the device will cost you just INR 2,400 as the company will be offering a cashback of INR 2,000.
The smartphone ships with Android Oreo 8.1 and comes pre-loaded with a variety of Go apps. It includes include Google Maps Go, Files Go, and much more. All Go apps are specifically designed for entry-level smartphones. All these GO Apps are quite light and smaller in size when compared to the standard Android apps.
Talking about the specs of Lava Z50, it features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of
854 X 480 pixels. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6737M 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz. The Go Edition handset offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card.
Lava Z50 houses a 5MP camera with LED flash on both front and back side. The smartphone supports 4G with VoLTE. Which is quite a deal for large number of Jio subscribers in India. The smartphone packs a 2,000 mAh battery and will be introduced in Black and Gold color variants. It will be available to purchase from online retailers like Flipkart, Amazon India and Snapdeal along with 10,000 brick and mortar stores in the country.
