July Security Patch starts rolling out on Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Samsung is now rolling out the July security patch for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 particularly for the users of T-Mobile. Similar to the security patch releases for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, this is also expected to protect your device against recent malware attacks and common bugs. The update is sized at 25 MB and is being sent out in the form of OTA.

The update is based on the latest version of Android Nougat so it’s also expected to improve the overall performance of the device like battery life and call quality. You can manually check for the update from Setting->About Phone-> System updates or wait for the official update notification from T-Mobile to reach your device.

It is recommended that your device has at least 50% of battery life before you start to download and install this update. Because any kind of interruptions like the phone running out of battery or an unstable internet connection might lead to improper update and may ultimately affect your device.

T-Mobile also recommends you to not interact with your device or attend any calls while the update is going on as it cause your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to permanently stop from working. Let us know in the comments below if you have received the update on your device and whether you can notice any improvements.
