Some features of Samsung’s upcoming phablet, the Galaxy Note 4 had been leaked earlier and they looked pretty impressive. But a source in China has come up with new specs of the Note 4 which he claims will soon be seen on the Galaxy Note 4.
To start with, the source claims the Galaxy Note 4 will be boasting of a 5.5″ display screen instead of the 5.7″as was rumored earlier. For comparison, the Galaxy Note 3 was sized 5.7″ while the Galaxy Note 2 was sized 5.5″. So it looks like the Galaxy Note 4 will be sized like the Note 2. However, the screen size seems to be the only thing common between the two as the Galaxy Note 4 will be sporting a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels which would churn out an impressive 534 ppi pixel density.
Information from the Chinese source also includes details about the phablet’s innards. The source claims the Note 4 will be powered by a Snapdragon 805 chipset instead of the Exynos 5 octa-core chipset as was rumored earlier.
Also, the tablet is now rumored to be sporting a 16 MP ISOCELL camera unit, instead of the 16 MP Sony sensor which was earlier believed to be present on the Galaxy Note 4. The ISOCELL camera is capable of recording videos at 2160p at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Note 4 in September this year at the IFA in Berlin. We’ll find out more about the device then. Till then, stay tuned.
