iQOO 7 series launched in India: Price and Specifications

After the iQOO 7 was spotted at TKDN Indonesia, the series has successfully launched in India. The 7 lineup from iQOO introduces two new smartphones: iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend. Both of these have several specs in common like display, design, and the shooting department. iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend Specifications

Design: Both smartphones display a tri-color racing stripe on the back build with an aluminum frame and AG matte glass finish. They feature a 6.62-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 1,300nits peak brightness. The panel flaunts an FHD+ HDR10+ 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution along with an intelligent Display chip.

Processor: The iQOO 7 indulges Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 accompanied by Adreno 660 GPU. Whereas the Legend arrives with Snapdragon 870 coupled with Adreno 650 GPU. Both smartphones come with Android 11 OS based on Funtouch OS 11.1 out of the box.

Storage: The duo is available in up to 128GB RAM and 256GB of storage configuration, while up to 3GB of flash storage can also be used as RAM. It is worth mentioning that iQOO is using a new V6 UFS 3.1 flash chip which enables up to 21% faster read and write speed.

Camera: Moving to the shooting section, the iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend offers a triple camera module consisting of a 48MP Sony IMX598 primary shooter with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide lens that also acts as a macro sensor. The third snapper of the standard variant is a 2MP monochrome sensor, while the top variant gets a 13MP telephoto lens with a 50mm equivalent focal length. Both models come with a 16MP front shooter for selfies.

Battery and Connectivity: The iQOO 7 packs a 4,400 mAh battery, on the other hand, the iQOO 7 Legend packs a 4,000 mAh cell. Both smartphones support a 66W of Flash Charge technology. Regarding connectivity, the devices comprise dual 5G connectivity, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.2, and a USB Type-C port. Moreover, the duo includes dual speakers offering Hi-Res Audio and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

What makes the iQOO 7 Legend superior?

If you are wondering what makes the Legend variant superior despite having almost much of the specs in common, then it’s the features! The iQOO 7 Legend is manufactured for gamers and it boards some extensive traits and hardware which is not available on the standard model.

  • Monster Touch feature: It offers an on-screen virtual joystick and control pad with pressure-sensitive digital buttons.
  • No use of physical buttons: The iQOO 7 Legend users can opt for on-screen controls to get rid of using physical shoulder buttons.
  • Fewer efforts: Unlike the iQOO 3, the company claims this setup will let gamers play with two fingers and still accomplish what they could do with four fingers.

Availability and Price

The iQOO series will go up for pre-orders from May 1 via the official iQOO store online and the Amazon app for India.

For iQOO 7, the minimum storage variant will cost INR ₹31,990, while the mid and high-end are priced at INR ₹33,990 and ₹35,990 respectively.

The iQOO 7 Legend comes in two storage configurations with a tag of ₹39,990 for the lower one and ₹43,990 for the upper model.
