Pre-requisites:
1.) A OnePlus 5 handset.
2.) Your device should have Unlocked Bootloader (Process is same for OnePlus 5/5T and 6).
3.) ADB and Fastboot pre-installed on your PC/Laptop or MAC.
How to Install Stock Recovery on OnePlus 5?
1.) If you are using a custom recovery like CWM or TWRP then firstly download the stock recovery image from the below-given link and paste it into the ADB and Fastboot directory on your PC.
2.) Now switch off your OnePlus 5 handset and jump to the fast boot mode by long pressing power and volume down buttons.
3.) Now connect your device to PC through a working USB cable.
4.) Start the command prompt and type “cd”. After that leave a space and go to the directory where ADB and Fastboot are installed, where we have pasted the recovery image earlier.
5.) Copy the directory and paste it into the command prompt.
6.) To flash the recovery now give the below-mentioned command:
fastboot flash recovery
7.) After giving the command leave a space and drag the recovery image in the command window. After pasting the complete location info press enter.
8.) As it finishes the processing give the below command to reboot and hit enter:
fastboot reboot bootloader
9.) You can now disconnect the USB cable.
How to Install Stock ROM on OnePlus 5?
1.) Download the Stock OxygenOS ROM for OnePlus 5 and paste it into the internal storage of your device.
2.) Now go to recovery mode by long pressing power+vol down buttons.
3.) Here select “Install from Internal storage” and select the stock ROM which you have downloaded.
4.) Select yes and the processing will begin.
5.) As it finishes the processing click on the reboot button and you are done.
