Guide to Insert/Remove SD card and a SIM card in Galaxy S10
Samsung Galaxy S10 is one of the rare flagship smartphones which still offer expandable storage support with the help of an SD card. The device supports a nano-SIM card which goes in the same tray as your micro SD card. You can expand your Galaxy S10’s storage by using a micro SD card up to 512 GB. Now without any further ado, let’s see how you can Insert or Remove an SD card or a Sim card in Galaxy S10.
- Step 1: You can switch out the SD card or the SIM card without turning off your Galaxy S10 but to avoid any loss or corruption of data, we’ll recommend you to turn off your device for this process.
- Step 2: Find the combined nano SIM / microSD card tray on top of your Galaxy S10
- Step 3: Grab the SIM insertion tool that comes within the box. As an alternative, you can also use a paper clip as well.
- Step 4: Push the pointy end of the SIM insertion tool into the pinhole on the sim card tray until the tray pops out.
- Step 5: Pull out the SIM card tray out of the slot.
- Step 6: Now you can insert/remove your micro SD card or a sim card. Make sure the Gold contact bars of your sim card and micro sd card are facing downwards.
- Step 7: Now carefully slide the SIM tray inside and push until you hear a click.
Boot up your Galaxy S10, and that’s it. The phone will start looking for the network, and you will also get a little popup for the micro SD card detected. Now in some cases, the device will ask you to format the microSD card in order to access it. In that case, you will have to format your SD card.
