Indian Company Coming With $7 (INR 450) Smartphone

Here’s news coming that an Indian company is going to unveil a Smartphone for just $7. Yes, you heard right, it’s $7 which is about INR 450. As per the source, Indian Government in cooperation with Ringing Bells will launch an affordable smartphone called the Freedom 251 on Wednesday.

The device will launch on Wednesday as part of an initiative to enable every Indian to have a smartphone connection. The exact price has not yet been revealed, but we do know that it will be under Rs. 500. Ringing Bells says that the smartphone is in line with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to connect every Indian and enrich their lives.

Ringing Bells which also came in news when Smart101, a 4G capable smartphone at a price of Rs. 2,999 (about $44) was launched. It sports a 5-inch display, a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded using a microSD card (32GB).
